Sharing is caring!

Ever had a taste for sushi but didnt want to experiment on a new spot? Well this past friday was one of those nights. I was starving and not feeling well at all but I recieved a call from a friend that just so happened to be in my area! She suggested we try Fudo out, at first I was reluctant because I hadn’t read any reviews and I knew it was fairly new. Nethertheless we decided to go and from walking in it was very welcoming and clean. We we seated and told about the menu favorites. Four rolls and edamame it what we ordered. Here come the suspense as the first roll Oceans 8 came out very fast so lets dig in!

Ocean’s 8 (8)

Shrimp tempura, spicy albacore tuna topped with shrimp, scallop, langostine with dynamite sauce and micro greens!

Opinion: This one was my favorite because the shrimp tempura and scallops were tossed in sweet thai chili sauce which if anyone knows me I love! The fact that langostine is even a part of this roll made it a favorite my friend and I ! Mind you this was our first roll there… That doesn’t mean because the flavor was there that I wouldn’t still critique it. They could have plated this roll better instead of piling it on top so thats my challenge to them! Present this roll as if its to feature in a magazine!

Devil Roll (8)

Spicy yellowtail, cilantro, cucumber topped with yellowtail, salmon, avocado, jalapeño ponzu, serrano peppers, sriracha!

Opinion: We got this roll and were excited to see what it tasted like. The only criticism I gave the roll initially was the sriracha covered the serrano pepper entirely. If I were the chef preparing it I would’ve added just a drop on, but it was more like the size of a dime. Also in the menu description it didnt say it had a pepper on top so they may wanna revise that. The flavor though was great and we really enjoyed how fresh the white fish and salmon was!

First Kiss (8)

Salmon tempura, cucumber topped with white fish, salmon, avocado, white yuzu sauce, sriracha!

Opinion: This particular roll was light, sweet, and very refreshing! I felt the sriracha was add to the top the right way as well as the white yuzu sauce but it was very similar to Over the Rainbow Roll. All in all it was a yummy roll!

Spicy Mega Tuna (8)

Spicy albacore tuna, crunch, masago, scallions, micro greens Topped with spicy tuna, garlic ponzu, fried onion

Opinion: I mean who doesn’t like spicy tuna right!? This roll was right up our alley and once it hit our palate we both smiled! The garlic ponzu and fried onion in which both I’ve never had on a roll was a great touch! Job well done!

For two sushi snubs our total experience was a very good! The level of service was great, the restaurant they keep clean, and the sushi chefs are fast! I had an headache most of the day but eating here helped it out. I would recommend you visit Fudo as will I again to try X-Men: Dark Pheonix, King Kong, Pink Lady, and the Don’t Judge Me Rolls. I give them an ( B+) and I’m sure by the next visit they will certainly earn an A!
